Poetry @ The Bottom of the Lake

You may come to think of this collection as I do: a series of grainy photos at a lake bed. Hazey things found on a sea floor, talisman with their purpose long since put to slumber. 

Take them with you. Unearth what you can and keep what you need.

I have written work to be carved at and reshapen, and I have written work to be loved and held tenderly, but these poems are not for anything at all; they are pieces of myself, relics found in my notes app, created in times I only remember through polaroid. They are creatures I love very dearly, spawned through haze and fog when I needed them most. 

It has been one hell of a year. I hope these depths treat you well.

Scraps found @ the bottom of the lake contains six poems. I don't totally remember writing any of them, they are just scraps found in a notes app - parts of myself I needed to draw out from the haze and onto a page. They are wet, disjointed, and occasionally confusing but they are exactly what they needed to be.

I think the sea itself would be proud of this, please enjoy my best offering.
